COURSE DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.
They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Age requirement
minimum 18 years of age at the time of course commencement
English language requirements
A minimum IELTS (General) test score of 6.0 or equivalent. Results more than two years are not acceptable.
Satisfactory completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 12 or higher.
Participate in a suitability interview prior to enrollment and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm and ability to undertake this qualification, with the recommendation being made by the interviewer to the CEO and/or nominee who will make the final decision.
Entry to this qualification is limited to those who:
Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions).
or
Have two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise.
LLN and Pre-Training Review
A Pre-Training review is a process undertaken to determine the most suitable and appropriate course and training for an individual.
You will undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment relevant to your course. This is to identify whether you need additional support to complete your course successfully. More details are provided in Student handbook available through college website.
Basic computing skills
Students are required to have basic computer skills, including operating MS-office and doing research on the internet since the course will require the student to make reports in MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations.
Materials and Equipment Required
As part of the qualification, all learners are required to bring their own device (BYOD) to access learning resources, work on assessments and complete tasks for unsupervised study.
Course Structure
Our course has been designed to meet the requirements for the BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management. It contains 10 units of competency as follows:

Duration
Our RTO will be offering the following delivery structure:
Face to Face (classroom blended):
(Total course duration 62 weeks consisting of 50 weeks tuition and 12 weeks holiday)
A classroom blended training mode is used for this qualification, combining face-to-face classes at Veridian’s facilities with an unsupervised study component to reinforce learning. Students will attend face-to-face sessions for direct interaction with trainers, while also completing unsupervised study tasks.
There is an extra 5 hours per week programmed outside of 20 scheduled contact hours where you revise and practice to reinforce classroom learning. Some people will move more quickly through the material and others may take a bit more time depending on your confidence in the topics.
Assessment Methods
Students are required to complete a range of tasks as part of the assessment requirements for each unit. Assessment methods may include:
Assessment Task 1: Knowledge questions – Students must answer all questions correctly.
Assessment Task 2: Project– Students must work through a range of activities and complete a project portfolio.
Pathways
Under mutual recognition, the Certificate qualification and Statement of Attainment awarded by Veridian will be recognized by other RTOs Australia-wide. Upon successful completion of this course, students have a number of pathway options to study:
BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)
An undergraduate degree at universities or higher education providers that are willing to accept your credentials and experience (subject to higher education providers course entry requirements).

Units in this qualification reflect the knowledge and skills of individuals with significant experience in:
